This was the first spot we did featuring Maria Sharapova for Canon Powershot. After spending weeks trying to figure out how to link a camera to a tennis player we finally realized that Maria and Powershot shared some very fundamental principles. Maria hit powerfully and precisely and Canon Powershot took powerful pictures with precision. Another aspect that Canon wanted to talk about was the small size of their camera, so we had Maria play tennis with the camera in her shorts to show how slim it was. Powershot went on to claim the number one ranking in the digital camera market. This work had a little something to do with it.
